Actuarial Society of Türkiye Membership Assessment Committee
Section A, “Membership Requirements and Conditions”, of Article 5, “Membership of the Society”, of the Society’s Statutes states: “Whether membership applicants satisfy the educational requirements shall be determined by a committee of at least three members selected by the Board of Directors from among the Society’s members, at least one of whom shall hold an academic title.”
Following our admission to full membership of the International Actuarial Association and the Actuarial Association of Europe, our Society’s membership terms and conditions have changed. Being listed in the Register of Actuaries is no longer sufficient to become a full member of the Society. New applications must therefore be assessed for compliance with both international associations’ full membership requirements and those of the Society. The International Actuarial Accreditation and Education Committee has been established within the Society to examine the education and membership criteria for new applications and assess applicants.
